 A. Chicago’s Parks


    1. Chicago parks system:
In the world, the city of Chicago has a great park system, which over 550 parks totaling more that 7.00 acres. Each park has its own story, unique characteristics and history.


    1. Chicago’s first park
The first park of Chicago is Dearborn Park, was established in 1839. Been a part of the Fort Dearborn military post named in honor of General Henrry Dearborn, this park has 1.08 acre parcel. Between 1839 and mid-1860’s, many other parks were created with less then 5 acres in size, but other new parks being the exception at 17 acres.

1.    What it was originally?
In first, the Lincoln Park was a Cemetery Park in 1863. In 1870 the park was a beginning to take shape in a little part in the north of Cemetery Park, with walkways and a many large trees and shrubs were also planted throughout the park.

2.    Suicide Bridge
This bridge was the most high bridge in the Lincoln Park. It was a popular park attraction for many years. This Bridge began to build at 1893 and was completed in 1894. Now
